We were excited to see the All-new 610PS R8 Spyder and 476PS Q8 sport concept SUV launch at another thrilling Goodwood Festival of Speed. Supercar and high performance fans looking for a supercar and a SUV to hit the spot were not disappointed by Audi’s offering ahead of the hotly anticipated arrival of Audi’s full series production versions in 2018.Goodwood Audi fans were able to set eyes on the fastest, most powerful drop-top ever produced by Audi.
Only just introduced to the media recently, the 610PS R8 V10 plus Spyder finished in an eye popping Audi exclusive micrommata green, ensured the look of their new Audi Sport flagship car made an impact which nearly matched its impressive stats of 3.3-second 0-62mph and a 203mph performance potential.
The 476PS Q8 sport concept was also a big hit on the Audi stand. This SUV fits into the luxury class easily with robust features and a 3.0-litre TFSI engine which is the first petrol unit to benefit from the Electrically Powered Compressor (EPC) technology that contributes substantially to the SQ7 TDI’s remarkable performance and instantaneous throttle response. Reaching a 4.7-second 0-62mph time and a 170mph top speed, the Q8 sport concept also integrates a mild hybrid system that allows it to recover energy during braking to use for emission-free electric-only driving helping it perform as efficiently as a four-cylinder equivalent.
Thanks Audi, we love them both!
