Bentley Dazzles the Big Apple with Continental GT Speed Lineup

The grande dame of car marques put on a glittering show for New York City, where it previewed its entire GT Speed collection to an adoring audience.Star of the show was of course the 2017 Continental GT Speed itself, which features an upgraded biturbo W12 6 litre engine that’s been given a power boost.
Now producing 620 lb-ft of torque and 633 horsepower, the engine can power the car to a new top speed of 206 MPH. Thanks to the car’s eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system (with a rear bias), the car can also accelerate from 0 – 60 MPH in just 3.9 seconds. Bentley also previewed the convertible, which is virtually identical apart from three things: the 0 – 60 MPH time is slower by 0.1 seconds, the top speed is just 204 MPH, and it has a slightly higher price tag of $264,300.
Oh, and the roof comes off, of course! As ever with Bentley, there is also a more exclusive option: the Black Edition. Featuring carbon fibre trim and two tone seats to set the interior apart, and contrasting colours on the rear diffuser, side skirts and front splitter, the car also comes with 21 inch alloy wheels, hot red brake calipers (or black if you prefer and high gloss black accents. While the standard edition is $253,235, this Black Edition GT Speed will set you back $277,235.
