BMW Announce New M5 with xDrive

BMW have announced that they will be releasing their new M5 with xDrive later this year. The latest version of BMW’s distinguished M vehicle has had extensive design, refinement and skill invested into developing this much anticipated brand-new high-performance Saloon.
This new BMW M5 with xDrive has all the hallmarks of an M vehicle with control logic at the centre of its essence.
As you would expect from BMW, due care, attention, precision and excellence are at the very heart of BMW’s new M5 with xDrive. Utilising xDrive technology and high-performance creates a robust system enabling new possibilities for the driver including the Active M Differential, special kinematics, the iconic M suspension and damper set-up and high performance sports tyres which come with additional grip. All the BMW M5 with xDrive systems are controlled via a single source so that drivers enjoy a car that intuitively responds to specific needs and desires.
Bernd Jacob, BMW Engineer, says: “The development of this control logic is the real secret behind M xDrive.” BMW always pursues perfection, and this car is no exception. The engine has been tuned to ensure that every inch of the 600-hp block is pulling in the same direction. Accelerating from 0-100kph in less than 3.5 seconds, dynamism is on the driver’s side. Material usage has been optimised to ensure the BMW M5 with xDrive weighs less than its predecessor; here the new CFR roof has been the key in the success to this dramatic weight loss.
