Most car enthusiasts love Aston Martin – the cars are sexy, they’re a British icon and most of all they’re the car of choice for James Bond. Who wouldn’t want to align themselves to that image?
The DB11, the brand new car that’s already wowing critics and prompting them to herald a bright future for Aston Martin. Many of you will have seen the forerunner of this car in the film Spectre – the custom-built DB10 that was designed exclusively for use in the new film. The styling is very similar, and this stunning new 2aston martinsculpted look has been created with lighter aluminium architecture. Less weight, of course, means that the car can perform better, and when this bodywork is coupled with the new 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, magical things happen.
The engine can produce 600 horsepower and 512 ft-lb of torque and, after a 0-60MPH sprint taking just 3.9 seconds, powers you up to a top speed of 200MPH– that should stop people saying that Astons can’t keep up with other sports cars. It’s not just the outside that’s had a makeover: Aston have partnered with Mercedes-Benz – purveyors of all things comfortable within automobiles – to create a more refined and passenger-friendly experience. Although it won’t look like a Mercedes inside, it will still come with all the German efficiency and top notch technology for which the marque is famed. Things are certainly looking up for Aston Martin, and the DB11 lots set to be absolutely fantastic. We can’t wait to get our hands on one!
