It's a Top Gear vs Ex Top Gear Reliant battle!

Fans of the old Top Gear will undoubtedly be aware of the original programme's close and chaotic relationship with the Reliant Robin. For those of you who aren't aware, it essentially boiled down to Jeremy Clarkson being upside down a lot.
Due to its madcap nature, plus the enduring British fondness for the old three wheeled car, the Reliant was a popular feature on Top Gear and it's little surprise that the trio of former presenters have already been seen in the vehicles whilst filming their new show for Amazon prime. What's more surprising, perhaps, is that the new Top Gear team, chiefly new American addition Matt Le Blanc, is also using the distinctive three wheeled cars in their new series. A sign of desperation, perhaps?
Twitter fans got to see Le Blanc in a convertible version of the Reliant Robin thanks to a video posted on the site. In it we clearly see Reliants that have been painted in both the American and the English flags - a sign that we'll perhaps see a race between Le Blanc and Chris Evans in one of the episodes.
