Prince George to get his first Aston Martin

When most children start nursery school they might be presented with a new pencil case, but for the eldest son of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, life is somewhat more exciting.

A royal source told the Daily Express: "You can hear the car before you see it because it's quite noisy. It's common knowledge that Prince William has got it running again so that George can have it." "The car has been in the Sandringham museum for many years after William and Harry outgrew it but it's always belonged to them so there was nothing to stop them using it again. "  "Everyone is looking forward to seeing George drive it. I should think he'll be in the car within a year."

This mini V8 Volante has a 160cc Honda engine with automatic gearbox, as well as working headlights and a radio. It is, fittingly, finished in Balmoral green and has tan leather seats and a green Wilton carpet inside. Princes William and Harry were only a few years older than Prince George when they first drove the car, so he won't have to wait too long before getting behind the wheel! When he does so, he will follow in a long line of royals who started driving at an early age: Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret also had a model car growing up, for example.
