Lamborghini want to make their SUV really superLamborghini have HUGE plans for their new SUV, which is due to arrive in 2018. As boss Stephan Winkelmann stated “It will be the supercar among the SUV”.

What does this mean in practice? We’ll see a car with exceptional performance, but one that has an equal focus on comfort – arguably the best of both worlds. The SUV will be called the Urus and will be based on a concept shown in 2012. Excitingly, Lamborghini are also considering a luxury model and a Superveloce model, meaning that the concept of high performance in an SUV is set to be well and truly redefined.

The RapidE will be available in two versions: a 550 horsepower model with rear wheel drive that can do around 200 miles, and a shorter range model that will have double the horsepower.

Dubai police get another epic car The United Arab Emirates is stuffed with beautiful supercars. So much so that the Dubai police have decided to get in on the act, and are purchasing more and more extreme cars to keep up with super-fast criminals. Their latest acquisition is a Porsche 918 Spyder, which has 887 horsepower and a 0-62MPH time of just 2.6 seconds. Its speed is partly due to its hybrid system, which has added two batteries onto its 4.6 litre engine. Like it’s other supercar stablemates, the Porsche 918 Spyder is coated in the livery of the Abu Dhabi police, and will be largely used for promotional purposes.
