The Bentley GT Speed gets more POWER!!

Ever been driving your Bentley GT Speed around and wished you could just get a bit more power out of your mammoth 6 litre W12 engine?
Well, good news! Bentley have addressed this most first world of problems by updating the car to have more power and torque, as well unleashing a new Black Edition GT Speed model. Let’s get to the standard GT first. The 6 litre twin-turbocharged W12 now produces an extra 7 HP and 14 lb-ft of torque, bringing the totals up to 642 HP and 619 lb-ft. If that doesn’t sound very newsworthy, then that’s because you’ve reckoned without the new ‘torque plateau’, which has been lifted from 2,000 to 5,000 RPM. Essentially, this means that the heft car can now do 0-60 in just 3.9 seconds - a speed many other car manufacturers would kill for.
The Black Edition, meanwhile, doesn’t get any further boost in power – rather unnecessary – but instead gets lots of pretty features to celebrate the intrinsically sporty nature of this new zippier GT. Available as a coupe, as well as a convertible, the Black Edition features a high-gloss black finish on exterior brightware, as well as 21-inch five spoke black alloys to cover up the red or black brake calipers. If you’re feeling whimsical, you can also choose to cover your front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts in a variety of colours: Hallmark, St James’ Red, Beluga and Cyber Yellow. Inside, meanwhile, there is a mix of vivid accents and materials, including carbon fibre on the fascia and roof console, and leather over the seats and centre console.
According to Bentley, this new edition has been introduced to ‘meet demand from customers for a model in the Continental line that offers both increased sporting capabilities and instantly recognisable styling cues’. Deliveries for both the standard and Special Edition models start in the summer, meaning that you don’t have long to decide on your paint combination, nor what you’re going to do with all that extra power.
